Coarse Sugar Cookie

Prep Time: 20 minutes. Cook Time: 12 minutes Total Time: 30+ minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1.5 cups cake flour

  • 1.5 cups flour

  • 1 1/4 cups white sugar

  • 1/4 cups brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 teaspoon almond extract

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • sugar in the raw

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F

  2. In medium bowl, combine both flours, baking soda and salt

  3. In mixing bowl cream together butter and both sugar until fluffy, about 2 minutes

  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix on medium speed until combined

  5. Add both vanilla and almond extract

  6. On low speed, slowly add flour mixture

  7. Scoop dough to size of your preference

  8. Roll dough balls generously into sugar in the raw

  9. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and bake dough for 12 minutes

  10. Cool on the pan for 3 minutes then transfer to wire rack
